Finally…..I got out for some fun shooting. Spent the morning walking around the ground of the University of Guelph Campus. It was a beautiful spring like morning watching the sun come up and the campus come alive. I can’t wait to do it again……hopefully it will be sooner rather than later. Nutrition for Learning

For the entire month of March John Wills Photography will be donating $25.00 from EVERY headshot session to Nutrition for Learning.

This is an amazing organization that is trying to help with a problem that SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING. Please read about Nutrition for Learning as written by Caitlin Quarry:

“Nutrition for Learning supports 131 student nutrition programs in Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo, Elmira, Wilmot and Woolwich Townships which provide breakfast, snack or lunch programs involving over 9,000 children and youth.

One in ten children in Waterloo Region arrive at school each day without any food to sustain them an entire school day. Put simply, they are too hungry to learn, and that’s why I am hoping to raise at least $300 for Nutrition for Learning’s student nutrition program by not eating meat for the month of March.

I’m hoping others will show their support by donating what they would typically spend on a meat-based meal to my “Live Free” page -
By donating to this effort, you will help provide a healthy start to the day for any child who needs it.

Something new I am starting with my Grads is I want them to write a bit about themselves so that when they look back in 15 or 20 years at their cool grad/senior photos it will really help them to remember this incredible time in their lives. So with that I introduce my latest Grad/Senior…..Luke Mason.

Here is what Luke had to say….

“I started kick boxing when I was 11 and became very good at it since there was no amateur kick boxing competition in Ontario I decided to just box I quickly developed a style and continued to get better and better then I started to fight I have attended many tournaments including the world championships in 2010. I look to continue to box because it has become a major part of my life, encouraging me to live a healthy and active lifestyle. I will continue to fight through thick and thin in my boxing career until I become the best I can be.”

and here is what his Mom Penny had to say about the experience :)

“I just finished watching my son do a “Grad Photo Shoot” with the talented John Wills. Not only was Luke’s ideas and personality captured in the session I truly believe these grad photo’s represent my son in grade 12. I didn’t think a photo shoot could be so relaxing and fun.
What a great memory we will have.
Thanks again John.”

Boudoir Photographers in Toronto

Last week I submitted a series of 10 boudoir images to the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC) ,for Accreditation judging. All 10 images were of clients that gave me permission to use their images…. no models were used and for that a HUGE thank you to all of you :)
To be an Accredited Photographer by The PPOC you must submit 10 images in a category to be judged by 3 Judges from all over Canada. ALL 10 images MUST be passed by ALL 3 Judges. Judging took place this weekend in Hamilton, Ontario and I am incredibly proud to say I AM NOW AN ACCREDITED BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHER by the PPOC :)
Yes ALL 10 images were approved by all 4 judges and I couldn’t be more happy.
Again a HUGE thank you to all my incredible clients for allowing me to use your images YOU ROCK :)

Fun Business Headshots in Kitchener Waterloo and Guelph

The many faces of Karl Nieva.
So these are not your typical Business Head-shots……but then again Karl is not your typical business man :)
I first met Karl at a golf tournament last summer and have since become friends. I have to say Karl is one of the most generous people I know. He is involved with so many charities and organizations it would be hard to list them all here. If the world had more people like this man, we would be much better off :)
Check out Karl’s company Promotional Elements by clicking HERE.
Now on to the fun session….just a quick note, all these photos were taken in under 5 min.
