Spring is finally here 
After a long couple weeks of rain, Mother Nature has finally shown us the sun. On Saturday night I met the beautiful Bot family out in the country for some fun family photos. This was their third time in 2 years coming to see me and I was really excited to see 2 year old Alice again. Wow is she ever growing up I have had the great pleasure in photographing Alice as a newborn, when she turned one and now when she is two and it is really cool seeing her grow up. We spent a lot of time playing and just letting Alice dictate what we did. She was a trooper and in the end got her first lollipop as a special treat:)

YEEEEEE HAAAAAA it’s the long weekend…..and the weather isn’t that bad either (well at least it isn’t snowing). Spent a lovely afternoon with my beautiful wife and 5 month old boy walking in the bush…..can’t think of a better way to spend a Friday afternoon. Although the wind is a bit chilly Austin didn’t seem to mind at all…..oh and about 30 seconds after this image Austin got his first mouthful of leaves….I am guessing the first of many

Not impressed with Mother Nature this morning…..not at all. So I decided to edit a couple images of our son Austin on his skateboard to try and get that summer feeling back. Not sure if it worked or not as I still get a chill every time I look out the window. But hopefully this white stuff will be gone by tomorrow and we can get back to some nice spring like weather.

Being a Dad
Is hard at times.
Is frustrating at times.
It causes many sleepless nights.
It makes you emotional.
Can cause you to pull your hair out.
BUT
I wouldn’t change being a daddy for anything in the world.

Actually took some time out my busy schedule today to take an image of our 3 month old son Austin. Also wanted to do it for Gramma and Grampa who are golfing in Florida for the winter and haven’t seen him in a few weeks:)
Being a full time photographer I sometimes find it hard to take images of my own family, on the few days I take off I usually don’t even want to look at a camera. But boy when you have a model as cute as this I guess maybe I should be taking more.

I haven’t had Austin in the studio since the first week home and thought it was time again. He is growing so fast it is sometimes hard to believe he is only 7 weeks old.
